Proposed Mercian MAT Schools

Multi Academy Trust Consultation

Queen Mary’s Grammar School | Queen Mary’s High School |
Walsall Studio School | Aldridge School | Shire Oak Academy

Our five schools are proposing to establish a Multi Academy Trust (The Mercian Trust). The Queen Mary’s Foundation, the Vine Trust Group and the Governing Bodies of our five schools all believe that this proposal will help safeguard and strengthen the excellent education which is currently provided by each of the Schools, bringing benefit to current and future students and to the schools’ local and regional communities.

Once the governing bodies have received and considered responses to this consultation they will each make a decision on whether or not to proceed with an application to the Education Funding Agency (EFA) to join this new MAT. Each governing body is considering the proposal and the decision of any one party is not dependent on another.
